Deflexed head in mid-pelvis

A study group based in central Norwich for midwives, obstetricians and students interested in reflecting on breech-related theory, practice and research together. Study group sessions are free to attend but limited to 10 participants, so RSVP through the form below is necessary. Women interested in exploring a vaginal breech birth are also welcome to attend for information.

Sessions may include:

  • Theory and practice of manoeuvres in ‘real time’ using a doll & pelvis alongside videos of actual, complex vaginal breech births
  • Discussion of recent research
  • Debrief of recent births attended (professionals only)
  • Practice counselling techniques
  • Information about moxibustion, a complementary therapy used to encourage breech babies to turn cephalic
  • Review of evidence related to external cephalic version
